The height of the back piece is adjustable as well as how far back it leans (think like a car seat), the arm rests move up as well as out and most importantly the seat height is perfect for long legs. The only complaint I could have is the arm rests aren't very well padded but that only comes into play when not using my keyboard/mouse which isn't often while at my desk. Overall I would recommend this chair to anyone wishing to buy one, the construction is sturdy and the features are wonderful. Oh, and it's VERY comfortable! Was this review helpful to you? 43 of 44 people found the following review helpful: Excellent Product, June 14, 2009 By Joshua D. Melvin "Joshua Melvin" (Pasadena, Tx United States) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) This chair is everything you would want in a good office chair, one you will spend any length of time in. The cushions for both the bottom and back of the chair are more than adequate, providing sufficient comfort for long durations of use. I am a fairly large individual, 6' tall and weighing in at 225lbs, which makes the sturdiness of the chair paramount. The ability of the arms to move both vertically as well as horizontally means I am not wedged into the chair, but able to have ample room for my thighs.
The three levers provide vertical movement of the base, tilt movement of the base, as well as a reclining motion in the back of the chair. These functions allow you to find the best position for you body type, for extended or brief us. Overall, this is the best office chair I have purchased and one I plan to purchase when its time for a new chair. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) This is a wonderful office chair. I have been experiencing severe low back pain at work due to a worn out and poorly designed chair. I purchased this chair locally two days ago and my back is so much better already. It is very ergonomic, adjustable in many ways and wide enough to accommodate many different body types. It has great lumbar support and Amazon provides a fantastic price. I paid a sale price of $190 from a different vendor and would have gone with Amazon had I known that was an option. I am ordering one for my husband today! Was this review helpful to you? 16 of 16 people found the following review helpful: Solid, roomy chair, sturdy, 3 levels of adjustment., August 25, 2010 By Jared Dicioccio "JMD" (New Jersey, USA) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) I've only had it for a few days but pretty happy with the purchase. I got it on sale for ~$110 and think that's a steal. It's not as soft and comfy like a $500 executive chair but if anyone expects that at this price they're crazy. But for a computer chair in the $1xx range it's excellent. Very sturdy design, very easy to put together, and very roomy. If you're big and tall you won't feel cramped at all.
The most interesting aspect of this chair, especially given its price point, was the 3 levers to adjust height, and two angles of incline. You can recline the back piece as well as the seat, and of course height. When I'm at my computer I put the back more upright, and when I'm turned to face my TV to play PS3 or just relax I recline the back. I have an awful habit of leaning back in my chairs which often results in the backpiece breaking. I'm hoping since this chair is designed to be reclined that this won't happen.
The padding is very firm. It's not a chair you sink into. Yet it's still comfortable and supportive. The back mesh makes an odd crackling noise when you get up from sitting in it for a while but I'm hoping that's just because it's new and not broken in (update: any crackling went away after a few days of breaking it in). The armrests are a typical weak point in any chair. I'm not convinced these will be any different. There's no immediate indications that they're overly weak, but they're not quite as sturdy as the rest of the chair is.
Overall it's a great chair for the price and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
UPDATE: I've had the chair for a few months now and it's still in one piece! The only thing I'd add, and I'm not sure if it matters, is how the back of the chair fits into the base. There is a large, flat metal piece at the bottom of the back of the chair that slides into a slot in the back of the base of the chair. You then use a knob to clamp the slot so the back stays put. It works, but it's a bit wobbly. I'm not sure if it's an issue or ever will become one, but at times it does make me worry. I have not had an issue with it yet, and may very well never have a problem. Just noting it. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment (1)
11 of 11 people found the following review helpful: Good choice!, September 11, 2009 This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) Others have detailed the construction, comfort, and flexibility of this chair. This comment assumes that you might actually order this chair and assemble it. I hope these notes are helpful.
The packing slip itemizes the individual parts. If you are like me, you freak out when it appears that some of the parts are missing. In my case, the screws and washers (parts #9 & 10) were not separate, but attached to the seat bottom (part #2). Similarly, the adjusting knob (#11) was already on the main housing (#4).
Because I wasn't going to begin assembly until I had all the parts, I contacted the seller (Cross Country Furniture). They very promptly sent me the "missing" parts without question. Their speed of shipment, and quick response time were great, and my issues were taken seriously.
Everything on this chair is adjustable. Take the time to figure it out. I think that most people will be very happy with this product. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: Great Chair!, March 16, 2010 By Ralph Edge (Not, Sure) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) I bought this chair because I'm a programmer, and recently had hip surgery. My old chair wasn't very comfortable, it was painful to sit in for more than 45 minutes or so.
I love the tilt controls(1 for the bottom pad of the chair, one for the back). The chair is super comfortable, and I like the mesh material. Put it together in about 30 minutes(would have been quicker if not for my hip injury - i had to sit on the couch to do it, and not the floor)
I wish the wheels had a little more glide to them. My last chair was capable of sliding 30-40 feet with one push(too much)...this one has a bit more friction going on, and can only achieve ~10 feet. Perhaps this is for the best, considering my injury.
I've ordered a flux capacitor for this baby, and will be installing it next week. Will post another review to let you know how it goes. You can expect it sometime last week.
5 stars.
EDIT: I should also mention my height - I am 6'4". Compared to my last chair(a $60 walmart chair), I can tell this was made for taller folks. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: Great office Chair, May 18, 2009 By Avid Reader "sunrize415" (SF Bay Area) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) This is a really good chair, especially if you sit for long periods of time. It is easy to assemble. It really doesn't look like much, but I have a very bad back and it is really aggravated by sitting for long periods of time as you would imagine. But this chair alleviates most of the stiffness I would typically have. I would highly recommend this chair. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

The arm rest does not sit straight and slightly slanted where you place your elbow. I use a cushion for the chair to make it suitable for long seatings. Was this review helpful to you? 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Solid Desk Chair, October 14, 2009 By Jesse Stopple (Marietta, GA) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) I was a little tentative about purchasing a chair online without sitting in it, but my faith in the review system paid off. This chair has controls for height, pitch, and the angle of the back cushion. Pitch can be locked in place, or left open for rocking motion. The range of height the chair is capable of seems better than my old chair, so that was a nice surprise. Assembly took < 10 minutes, and as a bonus, the contrast between the black and gray areas of the fabric is not as severe as the image would indicate. Arms are adjustable, and can be left off entirely if you rest your arms on the desk. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: PERFECT CHAIR FOR TALLER PEOPLE!, June 2, 2009 By JR Big Boy (Palatine, Illinois) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: High Back Mesh Ergonomic Task Chair with Adjustable Arms [BT-6001-GYBK-GG] (Kitchen) This purchase was important for me. I have back issues and I am 6'2" tall. Finding a chair that can adjust and be tall enough to take the pressure off the back of my legs was paramount. The base is wind enough to be able to shift if needed. The arm rests a perfect. The multiple adjustments for the base and back of the chair make this a perfect home office chair. The price was very reasonable. I have a similar chair at work that cost several hundred dollars more. Can't find the difference in quality or comfort. Makes me sad I spent so much on the work chair! Was this review helpful to you?
